This workshop is designed for those who may be required to deal with potential disciplinary matters. The aim of this workshop is to increase the understanding amongst management of how to manage disciplinary and grievance procedures. We will identify the difference between Misconduct and Gross Misconduct and discuss examples of both. Participants will learn how to deal with possible incidents of Gross Misconduct, how to investigate incidents effectively and how to implement disciplinary procedures.
At the end of this workshop, participants will:
• Have a good understanding of what constitutes Gross Misconduct
• Have learned some of the Do’s and Don’ts about managing instances of Gross Misconduct
• What to guard against when handling instances of Gross Misconduct
• How to introduce/implement effective disciplinary procedures.
This is highly interactive workshop that will include group discussions and brainstorming exercises and will include an assignment that may be used to review the participants learning outcomes having attended this workshop.
