This workshop is Part 2 of a 3-Day Management Development Programme. Whilst it is not essential, we do recommend that participants attend the full programme.
This workshop is intended for those who have line management responsibility for staff, or those who are likely to take up such a post in the near future.
On completion of this workshop participants will have:
A good understanding of the role of the manager in managing performance;
an understanding of different management styles and their impact;
an understanding of people's behavioural styles and their impact;
increased emotional intelligence skills relevant to their role, including communication skills and people management;
techniques of managing performance, including dealing with poor performance and/or behaviour;
how to handle disciplinary issues and disciplinary interviews;
developed an individual action plan for the following year aimed at further developing the performance of their team.
