This 1/2 day workshop should equip participants with the skills and tools required to find, interview, hire and motivate the best staff available for roles in their business. Many small businesses find it difficult to attract the right staff. For those lucky enough to find the right staff, keeping them part of the team is the next challenge. The purpose of this course is to ease that bruden on the relevant managers and to provide participants with an understanding of the benefits of having an effective policy and to gain confidence in the legal application of these.
The objective of this workshop is to give the participants an understanding of the difference between the selection of and the recruitment of potential employees. Attendees will gain an overview of the employment equality acts in relation to recruitment and selection. They will learn methods of making the selection process more effective in order to recruit better and ensure legal compliance and equality. They will have the opportunity to look at their current job descriptions, person specifications and how to short list candidates. They will learn how to conduct efferctive reviews of performance.
