David Whelehan has been actively involved in the wine sector for the last 25 years and has worked in wineries in the Napa Valley, Burgundy and Champagne. He has acted as a judge at the International Wine Challenge London, International Wine Challenge Japan and at Vin Italy. He has been TV3's IrelandAM wine expert since 2004 and is wine correspondent to Business and Finance Magazine.
This workshop, delivered by David, will offer participants an overview of the wine market in Ireland, trends and opportunities. It will discuss customer expectations and how to over deliver. There will be significant role play which will offer specific training on wine styles and participants will gain a better knowledge on how to sell and add incremental sales including merchandising techniques.
